Gym Programs

Gym Programs Vary According To Your Requirements

General fitness gym programs are ten a penny and are offered by all the gym groups in South Africa.  Frequently, their purpose is little more than to get the blood flowing and work up a sweat a few times per week.  They may work well enough for people who just want to retain a modicum of physical activity in their daily lives and combat obesity, but they offer little advantage to someone who really wants to build their muscles.  Bodybuilding gym programs, therefore, are a world apart from normal gym programs.

The purpose of bodybuilding gym programs is maximal exhaustion of the muscles through focused, high-intensity training of isolated muscle groups with as high a weight load as the body can handle.  Therefore, bodybuilding requires dedication, hard work and a lot of time in the gym.  BodyGuru Gym in Montana, Pretoria, is ideal for the avid bodybuilder and specialises in bodybuilding gym programs and advice.  It is minded by Hennie Kotze, an esteemed bodybuilder and bodybuilding training specialist.  His programs are designed to maximally sculpt your body to its full potential.

Hennie's bodybuilding gym programs are adapted to suit the member's age, gender and goals and typically would not focus on more than two muscle groups per day.  For the first day, hamstrings and calves may be exercised and on the second day, abs and chest muscles.  Day Three would focus on the back muscles and calves, Day Four the shoulders and abs, Day Five the triceps, biceps and calves and Day Six hamstrings only.  This program is interspersed with a day of rest and should be maintained at maximum weight and exertion for six to eight weeks at a time, before it has to be adapted again.

BodyGuru's gym programs are especially tailored for the bodybuilder and since membership is controlled, you never have to stand in endless lines to use equipment.  Contact us today.

Training Schedule

Throughout my bodybuilding career I would say a big challenge for me was to prove that conditioning rules and not size.

I train 5 to 6 days per week. I prefer to train 1 muscle group per day and I totally exhaust that group with 4 - 5 exercises.
