For now you can follow the tips below on how to build muscle if you are just starting out on the bodybuilder route.

Use Reputable Supplements Only

If you ask an expert bodybuilder on how to build muscle by means of supplement intake in addition to training, the person will advice not too take any supplements not already in use for a while. It is important to ensure that you know what to expect.

Eat To Build Muscle

Eating to build muscle entails four to six smaller meals a day. Start with your first meal at around 30 minutes after waking up and repeat every three hours. The idea is to eat around 15 times your body weight, provided you also train. You need around 20% protein and 40-45% carbohydrate intake daily. At least 50% of the meals must be foods and the others can be protein types of shakes.

Weightlifting for Muscle

Ask any bodybuilder how to build muscles and you will hear that three to four times a week minimum will be required to build muscle. You need to cause resistance against which the muscles will work ensuring stronger and bigger muscles.

To build muscle you must also rest between workouts as this is what will help to build muscle. With every workout resistance is caused and the muscles must grow stronger to overcome the resistance. Muscle building should be done as a minimum of two upper body workouts and two workouts focussing on the lower body area for every seven day period.

Training Schedule

Throughout my bodybuilding career I would say a big challenge for me was to prove that conditioning rules and not size.

I train 5 to 6 days per week. I prefer to train 1 muscle group per day and I totally exhaust that group with 4 - 5 exercises.
