What Is Whey Protein

What Is Whey Protein?

We know that whey is the liquid by-product of cheese production, but what is whey protein?  Well, it follows that whey protein is a combination of globular proteins derived and isolated from whey.  When milk coagulates, whey is left over and it essentially contains all the elements that are soluble from milk.  As such, whey is a water solution containing some lactalbumin, minerals and five percent lactose.

What is the Best Whey Protein Product?

The 100% whey protein shake manufactured by Scientific Sports Nutrition (SSN) is unique in that its manufacturing process called low-temperature ultra-filtration isolates all of the protein from the whey and removes all carbohydrates and fats.  This renders the purest form of whey protein available, free from any type of contamination like undesirable heavy metals.

What is Whey Protein's Competitive Advantage?

Whey protein is favoured by bodybuilders because it assists in muscle growth and recovery.  It restores branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) levels and also contains glutamine, which is needed to provide the support for optimal protein synthesis (for fast muscle recovery) and also acts as an essential immune system fuel.  In fact, this product is ideal for replacing two of a bodybuilder's solid meals per day.

Training Schedule

I train 5 to 6 days per week. I prefer to train 1 muscle group per day and I totally exhaust that group with 4 - 5 exercises.
