Weight Training Routines

You need to vary your weight training routines

They say variety is the spice of life – and the same should go for your weight training routines.

The human body is an incredible machine and there are many things you can throw at it. It may hurt in the beginning, but pretty soon it will get used to it. Take any exercise – if you start to run for five kilometres a day at a moderate pace – for the first month or so you will challenge your body and you will get some results from it. However, as your lung capacity increases and oxygen travels faster to your muscles, pretty soon your body will not react to it anymore.

The very same principle applies to your weight training routines. For muscles to become bigger, you need to stretch them and make them work hard. What you need to remember however is that you need to make changes every so often otherwise you will be sweating for nothing.

There is a wide range of weight training routines you can follow to get maximum effect from your exercise programme. Unfortunately, not all of us are familiar with what we need to do to get maximum effect and result. That is where Hennie Kotze comes in.

Training Schedule

Throughout my bodybuilding career I would say a big challenge for me was to prove that conditioning rules and not size.

I train 5 to 6 days per week. I prefer to train 1 muscle group per day and I totally exhaust that group with 4 - 5 exercises.
